Community in the classroom

Over the past few weeks my peers and I have been working on our impossible projects. We have all had our ups and downs in terms of figuring out our creations step by step. We have all encountered set backs, as well as triumphs and we have all learned new information along the way. One of the lessons I have learned is that in order to truly succeed, you must have a community supporting you. Without the support from each other, I think some of us would have really struggled and potentially given up. This feeling of having people to talk to and help you along the way is important because you feel like you can accomplish more and push yourself beyond the limits, knowing you have peers to rely and fall back on. I think in order for students to truly excel in a classroom, they MUST have a community. People who have common interests can push each other to achieve more than was ever imagined and that is where new and great ideas, and inventions are formed.I am grateful that everyone in the class was able to help each other and contribute to making an excellent learning environment. I am inspired and wish to instill this same sense of community in my future classroom.
